The philosophy behind the design capitalizes on the element of air travel by airships. The comfortable sofa has the design of a flying blind in mind, with the curves and outline that imitate a blimp. The result is an [aerodynamic structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aerospace-seat-spn01) that combines extreme comfort and style, adding a piece of the sky inside your home. The contemporary and dynamically shaped sofa is fitted with a composition of soft linings that help enhance the comfort level of the sitter, giving the user a new and different level of comfort coupled with smooth lines that resembles sitting on a [soft cloud](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pillo-sofa). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Blimp-inspired Furniture:** Opportunity to create new designs of furniture or home decor that take inspiration from air travel and aerodynamic structures. - **Comfort-focused Design:** Shift towards designing furniture with utmost comfort in mind that enhances the user experience and quality of life at home. - **Streamlined Aesthetics:** Trend towards sleek, streamlined designs of furniture or decor that prioritize both form and function. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** Opportunity for furniture companies to offer unique, modern designs that incorporate aeronautical design elements and prioritize comfort. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity to create home decor items that follow the same inspiration as the Zeppelin Sofa and bring an element of air travel into the home. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate aeronautical elements and unique, comfortable furniture into their design projects. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Precariously Suspended Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suspended-sofa.md) - [Plush Sculptural Lounge Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rokko.md) - [Flexible Landscape-Like Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airberg-sofa-collection.md) - [Portable Air-Filled Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sofa-made-from-air.md) - [Curved Bed-Inspired Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/velar-sofa.md) - [Bulbous Modular Retro Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/float-sofa-1.md) - [Modular Inflatable Furniture Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transforming-sofa.md) - [Voluptuous Texture Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bretz-balaao.md) - [Sail-Inspired Majestic Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vela-sofa.md)
