# Game-Enhancing Smartphone Sheaths The WynCASE is Designed to Make Mobile Gaming Less of a Hassle By Michael Hines | Published 2012-12-12 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-wyncase References: [technabob](http://technabob.com/blog/2012/12/10/wyncase-iphone-button-case/) & [kickstarter](http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wynlabs/984501255?token=310543db) The WynCASE is a new smartphone sheath meant to make mobile gaming more fun. Currently, mobile gaming requires immense patience and a willingness to accept that the button you pressed is not the one your [iPhone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-gaming-controller) wants to engage. WynLABS, creator of the WynCASE, aims to change all of that. The case uses the company's patent-pending BridgeTOUCH technology. The case covers a small part of the screen. When buttons are pressed on the case, the screen responds in kind. The case eliminates the two problems plaguing mobile games: thumbs obscure screens and buttons do not recognize input. When not in use for gaming, the WynCASE can be turned around and used as a conventional cover. WynLABS has created a page for its design on [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crush-controller), but the company is currently asking for feedback, not funds. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Enhanced Mobile Gaming Experience:** The WynCASE smartphone sheath addresses common problems with mobile gaming, offering an improved and more enjoyable gaming experience. - **Innovative Phone Accessories:** The development of the WynCASE reflects the growing trend of innovative accessories designed to enhance smartphone functionality. - **Patent-pending Technological Solutions:** WynLABS' BridgeTOUCH technology showcases the trend of patent-pending innovations that seek to improve user experiences. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Mobile Gaming:** The WynCASE presents an opportunity for the mobile gaming industry to offer a more seamless gameplay experience and attract a larger user base. - **Consumer Electronics:** The innovation behind the WynCASE highlights the potential for further advancements in the consumer electronics industry, specifically in smartphone accessories. - **Crowdfunding Platforms:** The existence of Kickstarter and the interest shown towards the WynCASE demonstrates the disruptive potential of crowdfunding platforms for product development in various industries. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Interactive Gaming Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaming-phone-case.md) - [Retro Gaming Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gamebaby.md) - [Charging-Friendly Smartphone Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-gaming-controller.md) - [Expandable Mobile Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abxylute-s9.md) - [Action Button Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bangcase.md) - [Gaming-Inspired Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-3-case.md) - [Retro Gaming Smartphone Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soolra.md) - [Compact Gamepad Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-gamepad.md) - [Analog Joystick Smartphone Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaming-flex.md)
