The Windtulip is a conceptual streetlight that also works as a [wind power generator](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grain-blanc). The Windtulip was designed by Mebrue Oral to provide light while gathering power.

Wind power is everywhere, yet wind turbines are not. The Windtulip would be a more reasonable alternative to gathering wind power than the [massive wind turbines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Portable-Wind-Generator) seen around the world. Even if the Windtulip couldn't gather enough power to help curb a city's electricty use, it could more than likely gather enough power to power itself. This in and of itself would be great as it would cut a city's energy consumption substantially by removing all of the [streetlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shift-pro) from its grid. The fact that it doesn't look half-bad makes things all the more better.
