# Minimalist Villa Renovations The White Arcade Reimagines a Spanish-Style Dubai Villa By Amy Duong | Published 2026-07-24 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-white-arcade References: [instagram](https://www.instagram.com/casamiavisuals/) The White Arcade is a [residential renovation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bauhaus-budapest-apartment) by D'Ora Tokai Designs that transforms a [Spanish-style villa](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pppler) in Dubai into a light-filled contemporary home. Designed for a family of five, the 7,265-square-foot residence reinterprets the property's original arches through a [minimalist palette](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marcela-cure) of warm whites, pale oak, natural stone and soft brass. Existing architectural details were preserved and refined, while new picture-frame moldings, herringbone oak flooring and custom furnishings establish a cohesive visual language throughout the interior. At the centre of the home is a double-height courtyard with a glazed roof, where layered arches, mature trees and bespoke furniture create a calm gathering space filled with natural light. Nearly all major furnishings were designed by Tokai's DOT Objects brand, including sculptural seating and a white onyx dining table that reinforces the architectural concept. Textured plaster, Carrara marble, travertine, quartz and white onyx add depth to the restrained material palette Image Credit: Casa Mia Visuals ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 84% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Minimalist Heritage Renovations:** Historic architectural features paired with restrained contemporary finishes create openings for design firms to modernize legacy homes without erasing their cultural character. - **Light-filled Courtyard Living:** Glazed atriums, internal gardens and double-height gathering spaces point to growing demand for residences that merge wellness, daylight and indoor-outdoor calm. - **Integrated Custom Furnishings:** Bespoke furniture systems designed alongside interiors enable studios to extend brand value while delivering cohesive, high-end residential experiences. ### Who This Affects Most - **Luxury Residential Design:** Premium homeowners seeking personalized, serene environments are expanding the market for full-service renovation concepts rooted in material refinement and architectural continuity. - **Custom Furniture Manufacturing:** Made-to-measure sculptural pieces and signature dining elements signal potential for manufacturers to collaborate with designers on limited-run collections tied to specific interior narratives. - **Architectural Materials:** Natural stone, textured plaster, pale woods and soft metals are shaping opportunities for suppliers offering tactile, sustainable and visually quiet finishes for upscale renovations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artist Skate Sneakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/comme-des-garons-play-x-converse-chuck.md) - [Toy Skincare Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skii-crybaby1.md) - [Emotionally Resonant Luxury Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/resonant-luxury-residence.md) - [Full-Color Golf Bag Collectibles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cleeks-golf-club.md) - [Monochrome Art Figures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kaws-fellows-figure.md) - [Design Residency Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/life-of-forms.md) - [Largest Coatings Showroom](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guinness-world-record.md) - [Youth Art-Supporting Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louisville-visual-art.md) - [Education-Focused Children's Art Museums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/childrens-art-museum.md)
