The VoloDrone also has [autonomous capabilities](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wisk-aero-generation-6-evtol), and it was designed to be able to carry cargo. Volocopter has not announced when it will release the cargo drone, however, it's indicated that it will be coming soon. The company's venture into cargo drones will help it develop technology as it prepares to create an air taxi service. Additionally, entering the utility drone market will allow the company to increase its revenue as it builds up its air taxi service. The VoloDrone can carry a maximum of 440 lbs and has a range of 25 miles. The drone also has a top speed of 68mph, and a battery swapping charging system.
