The Umbrella Table folds and unfolds just like a regular umbrella, making it convenient to store and maintain. Its [collapsible design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarker-table) takes only a moment to install. **Implications** - [Unique furniture designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expand-furniture) that incorporate nontraditional elements such as this table appeal to the modern consumer market. [Blooming designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blooming-furniture) that make furniture more compact combine both function and style. To meet the wants and needs of the modern-day consumer, designers will continue to develop furniture items that merge style, compactness, function and even malleability. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Nontraditional Furniture Designs:** Incorporating nontraditional elements into furniture appeals to the modern consumer market, providing an opportunity for designers to develop unique and innovative designs. - **Blooming Furniture Designs:** Furniture designs that can bloom or transform to be more compact meet the wants and needs of modern consumers, presenting an opportunity for designers to create functional and stylish pieces. - **Merging Style and Function:** Developing furniture items that merge style, compactness, and function allows designers to cater to the demands of the modern-day consumer, opening up possibilities for disruptive innovation. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** The furniture design industry can explore nontraditional elements and blooming designs to create unique and innovative furniture pieces. - **Home Decor:** Incorporating nontraditional furniture designs and blooming designs into home decor products provides an opportunity for the industry to offer functional and stylish options to consumers. - **Interior Design:** Incorporating nontraditional and blooming furniture designs allows interior designers to create transformative and space-saving solutions for their clients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Disappearing Umbrella Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coilo.md) - [Compact Outdoor Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-1.md) - [Dynamic Sculptural Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-transformation-table.md) - [Industrial Shapeshifting Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jointable.md) - [Space-Inspired Folding Umbrellas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloombrella.md) - [Origami-Inspired Lit Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightup.md) - [Multifunctional Park Picnic Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-picnic-furniture.md) - [Collapsible Outdoor Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-outdoor-furniture.md) - [Cloud-Inspired Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-tables1.md)
