# Cylindrical Clothing Storage Spaces The Tuberoom Provides Extra Closet Space Without Taking Space By Michael Hines | Published 2013-10-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-tuberoom References: [dornob](http://dornob.com/tuberoom-portable-lightweight-translucent-walk-in-closet/) & [superorganismla](http://www.superorganismla.com/) Those who constantly complain about not having enough closet space need the Tuberoom in their lives. This [unique storage space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tumba) was created by design studio Superorganism and is exactly what its name suggests: A room that is self-contained in a tube. The Tuberoom has semi-transparent panels and is made from pine (the frame) and corrugated vinyl. The Tuberoom greatly increases a bedroom's closet space without taking up a ton of space itself. There are [multiple shelves for clothes and shoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotating-shoe-rack) and even a few rods for hanging clothing. Superorganism designed its [cylindrical storage space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/original-modern-shelving) to be lightweight, making it easy to instantly switch up the look of your room. The semi-transparent panels create a space that is private without looking creepy. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 46% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Cylindrical Storage Solutions:** Embrace the trend of cylindrical storage solutions for maximizing closet space without sacrificing room layout. - **Lightweight Design:** Explore the disruptive innovation opportunity of designing storage solutions with lightweight materials, providing flexibility and ease of use. - **Semi-transparent Panels:** Leverage the trend of utilizing semi-transparent panels to create private storage spaces that maintain a modern aesthetic. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** Incorporate cylindrical storage solutions into interior design projects to offer innovative space-saving options for residential and commercial spaces. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Tap into the demand for lightweight storage solutions by manufacturing furniture pieces that prioritize mobility and customizable layouts. - **Home Organization:** Provide semi-transparent panel options in the home organization industry to meet consumer desires for privacy while maintaining a visually open space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Open-Concept Clothing Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bauhutte-clothes-hanger-rack.md) - [Playful Rotating Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giralot-rotating-storage.md) - [Miniature Sanitized Cabinet Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yujin-lee.md) - [Narrow Space-Saving Wardrobes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alta-narrow.md) - [Wardrobe-Style Luggage Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drobe-luggage.md) - [Connected Smart Home Closets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oloo-smart-wardrobe.md) - [Removable Bathtub Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtrope.md) - [Sanitizing Organizational Clothing Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clothing-cabinet1.md) - [Connected Curated Wardrobe Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lookandme-closet.md)
