As kids used to bring their battery-powered ghetto blasters outside with them, this product is the contemporary counterpart that pumps up your mp3 playlist. There are plenty of [smartphone speaker docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/newordinary-songbook-max-speaker) on the market at the moment, but few of them offer the sufficiently good sound quality that's required for outdoor projection. This device by Hortense Desodt boasts [360 degrees' emission](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soundboks) so that the music can reach the ears of many. The Spot for Nixon appears to have been modeled on the form of a lantern, making it quite easy to carry. Its fairly cylindrical form is graspable thanks to a looped handle that functions as a wrist-worn wireless remote. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Portable Sound Systems:** Opportunity for disruptive innovation lies in creating portable sound systems with high-quality sound for outdoor projection. - **360-degree Sound Emission:** Disruptive innovation can be found in developing audio devices that offer 360-degree sound emission to reach a larger audience. - **Lantern-inspired Design:** There is an opportunity for disruptive innovation in designing audio devices with a lantern-inspired form for easy portability. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry can explore disruptive innovation in the development of portable sound systems with high-quality sound. - **Audio Technology:** The audio technology industry has an opportunity for disruptive innovation by creating audio devices with 360-degree sound emission. - **Design and Fashion:** The design and fashion industry can explore disruptive innovation in creating audio devices with a lantern-inspired design for easy carrying. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Posh Power-Free Smartphone Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amplifying-speaker.md) - [Future-Proof Luxurious Portable Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beosound-a5-portable-speaker.md) - [Music-Sharing Transmitted Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soundmotion.md) - [Dice-Inspired Speaker Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dominote-speaker.md) - [Portable Aluminum-Designed Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-aluminumdesigned-speaker.md) - [Desktop Bluetooth Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orgdot-n200.md) - [Emergency Audio Speaker Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crankspeaker.md) - [Sustainable Solar-Powered Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solgaard-solarbank-boombox.md) - [Tubular Note-Shaped Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-audio-device.md)
