The Plod Stool by [EBBA Architects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-ebba-armchair) is the company's first step into furniture design. Not only is the architectural firm venturing off into new territory, but it is also doing so sustainably with the release of a [recycled paper stool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fold-stool). Users can display the stool on its own or combine it in pairs to form a coffee table for a highly versatile design.

Consisting of four flat-backed elements, the Plod Stool is made from a single material called [Richlite](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/no-screws-no-glue). The recycled stool's material is commonly designated for cladding, countertops, and skate ramps. According to the company's co-founder Benni Allan, "it's not a material that has yet been used much in furniture, and this is one of the first stools."
