# Upcycled Meeting Places The Palletpavilion is a Striking Piece of Upcycled Architecture By Michael Hines | Published 2010-08-28 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-palletpavilion References: [ecofriend.org](http://www.ecofriend.org/entry/palletpavillion-a-sustainable-structure-made-from-shipping-pallets/) & [aml-partner.de](http://www.aml-partner.de/) I would have never thought of a pallet as beautiful until I saw the Palletpavilion. This pavilion is made entirely of pallets, ground anchors and tie rods. The Palletpavilion was designed by Matthias Loebermann as a temporary meeting place. I have worked around pallets before, but I never thought that they could be an artistic medium. The Palletpavilion is truly a striking building. When illuminated from within at night, it looks like a cozy wooden cocoon.
