The OYSTER Chair by Arturo Tedeschi and Mindesk VR boasts a unique design that was created thanks to algorithmic modeling, virtual reality and advanced fabrication techniques. As such, OYSTER sets itself apart as "the first prototype designed using virtual reality techniques and manufactured through a 3D milling machine, remotely controlled."

While there are plenty of [furniture designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/verse-3d-printed-chair) that are created nowadays with computer-aided design software, this chair offers a look into the future of design, which has the potential to be much more intuitive and artful.

For the project, Arturo Tedeschi contributed expertise in generative modeling and combined it with Mindesk’s Virtual Reality CAD interface to create a stunning [sculptural chair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contour-collection) that stands out from the rest.
