Designed by Pei-Ju Wu, the table features a planter section just below the glass topper that will allow greenery to thrive and grow over the edge to eventually overtake the surrounding space. A funnel has been integrated into the top section to make watering easier, while a collection tray will collect any excess moisture and allow it to evaporate into the surrounding area. 'The Oasis' table is also outfitted with a [small illumination unit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aura-ambient-grow-light) just above the planter section to provide passive illumination that highlights the unit and the greenery in a demure manner. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 94% | Activity: 72% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Multifunctional Furniture:** Opportunity to create furniture pieces that serve multiple purposes and improve the efficiency of a space. - **Integrating Nature:** Potential to add plants and nature into everyday items like furniture to promote well-being and create a connection to nature. - **Smart Lighting:** Incorporating lighting into furniture pieces in innovative ways to provide illumination and improve the overall aesthetic of a space. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** Creating furniture that not only looks good but is also designed to serve multiple purposes and incorporate greenery. - **Interiors:** Designing interiors that prioritize the use of functional and eco-friendly furniture pieces that also incorporate greenery. - **Smart Home:** Developing smart home technologies that integrate lighting and greenery into furniture pieces to improve the overall functionality and aesthetic of a space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sensory Stimulation Dining Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oasix-table.md) - [Integrated Planter Worktables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plantable-office.md) - [Chic Sustainable Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oceanides-table-collection.md) - [Terrarium Stool Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wild-stool.md) - [Plant-Friendly Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jcp-universe-coloniae.md) - [Demure Dual-Function Hanging Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-fixture-planter.md) - [Personality-Enhancing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ordo-book.md) - [Plant-Cultivating Home Furnishings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-4.md) - [Handle-Equipped Planter Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-plant-shelf.md)
