Furthermore, Diddy, The LOX, Latto, Nardo Wick, Lil' Cease, and DJ Clark Kent will all perform with the avatar of The Notorious B.I.G. “Having the ability to create a variance of new opportunity to showcase my son Christopher’s music through the advancement of technology is hard for me to grasp at times,” Voletta Wallace, the mother of the late rapper, said in a statement. “However, I’ve found so much excitement in the process of developing his avatar, understanding the value added for fans to experience him in ways unattainable until now. Thank you to all who have contributed to bringing this project to fruition.” Image Credit: Meta, [hypebeast](https://hypebeast.com/2022/11/meta-the-notorious-b-i-g-skys-the-limit-vr-concert-announcement-info), [oculus](https://www.oculus.com/experiences/event/499696378769123/) ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.5/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 13% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Virtual Reality Concerts:** The introduction of rapper-themed VR concerts opens up a new form of immersive experiences for fans around the world. - **Hyperrealistic Avatars:** Creation of hyperrealistic avatars enables deceased artists to continue performing and creates new opportunities for innovation and monetization. - **Narrative Storytelling:** The use of narrative storytelling in VR concerts provides fans with a unique and unforgettable experience that is hard to replicate with traditional concerts. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Entertainment:** Entertainment industry has a huge opportunity to revolutionize the way concerts are experienced, especially using emerging technologies like VR. - **Technology:** Advancements in technology, particularly in VR and artificial intelligence, are opening up new opportunities to create hyperrealistic avatars for deceased artists and other applications. - **Music:** Music industry has a chance to leverage emerging technologies to create new revenue streams and innovative ways to distribute music and reach fans through VR concerts and other immersive experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Musical Afrofuturism Metaverses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-verse-by-jack-daniels.md) - [Interactive Metaverse Pop Concerts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-chainsmokers.md) - [Immersive Virtual Reality Concerts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersion-vr.md) - [Interactive Hologram Tributes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-comic-con.md) - [Metaverse Concert Venues](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/metaverse-concert-hall.md) - [Metal Band Virtual Worlds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knotverse.md) - [Hip-Hop-Focused Virtual Worlds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planet-hip-hop.md) - [Rapper-Hosted Live Concerts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lil-wayne-1.md) - [Metaverse Music Festivals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kids-relief-music-festival.md)
