This charging dock differs from others of its kind as it uses mood lighting to communicate with the phone's owner. Smartphone users can program Loocy to flash specific colors if the phone receives a notification while in the dock. The device can also alter it's appearance to represent the phone's charging status, meaning a user can quickly assess when their phone has reached an ideal battery life, from a distance. With Loocy, a smartphone's accessories, can be as intelligent as the phone itself. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Smart-charging Docks:** Innovative charging devices that utilize smart technology to provide users with easier ways to monitor their phones' notifications and charging status. - **Mood Lighting Communication:** Using color-coded mood lighting to communicate notifications and charging statuses to phone owners with a simple glance. - **Intelligent Accessories:** Making charging docks and other phone accessories as intelligent and interactive as the phones themselves. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Consumer Electronics:** Incorporating smart technology into charging docks and other phone accessories can offer new and innovative solutions for consumers and businesses alike. - **Interior Design:** Integrating mood lighting and aesthetically pleasing charge docks into home interiors could be a new trend in consumer electronics and home design. - **Smart Home:** Connecting charging docks and other phone accessories to a smart home system can offer even more innovative ways to integrate them into people's lives. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Colorful Smartphone Charging Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/griptok.md) - [Intentional Disconnection Device Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/share-power.md) - [Anti-Distraction Smartphone Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-charging-dock-concept.md) - [Shifting Orientation Smartphone Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartphone-stand-charger.md) - [Speaker-Equipped Smartphone Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lexon-city-energy-pro.md) - [Decorative Device Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tricharge-wireless-charger-concept.md) - [Anti-Distraction Smartphone Docks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/migo-wireless-charger-dock.md) - [Magnetic Charging Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spot-on-charger.md) - [Illuminated Tech Dock Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nanoleaf-pegboard-desk-dock.md)
