Instead of leaving people to fend for themselves on the street, Marc Roth decided to give these individuals a chance with the Learning Shelter. Providing homeless citizens with a [roof over their head](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/educational-affordable-housing-initiatives-habitat-for-humanity-guelph-well) and food to eat is the first step to survival, but to keep these people on the upward spiral a certain skill set is needed. This is where Roth comes in.

Roth founded the Learning Shelter to fill this void. The program is designed with a "90 day exit strategy," according to the site, and focuses on giving [homeless people the skills](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gable-grants) to make their way in the [tech industry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-literacy-program). While the job market is still quite competitive, the courses should still provide a base of expertise for attendants of the school to build on, and get their foot in the career door.
