Next to watching paint dry, waiting for water boil is just as dull and tedious, which is where the iKettle comes in.

The iKettle is the world's first Wi-Fi enabled [smart kettle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-electric-kettle), costing $160.79, that lets you start heating the kettle at the touch of a button and alerts you when the water is boiled. The kettle comes with a wireless-equipped base unit, and once the smartphone and kettle are on the same Wi-Fi network, the settings allow you to turn the kettle on, but also [set the water temperature](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/temperature-control-smart-mug). Holding up to 1.8 liters of water, the kettle is made from stainless steel and has a soft-touch handle. There is a [keep-warm feature](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allcom-smart-tumbler) -- as well as an auto shut-off boil-dry protection enabled -- and it even asks whether you want to start the kettle when you wake up. The iKettle is due to be available during the last week of November.
