The product functions as both an irrigation system as well as a UV solar cell light system. The device is perfect for busy plant owners who often over-water or under-water their plant and takes the guesswork out of being a plant owner. The smart device is able to measure the amount of water your plant currently has, to ensure it does not rot from excess water or dehydrate from lack of water. The Horti is easy to use, simply place it in the soil adjacent to your plant. Users can choose the appropriate [soil moisture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroponic-gardener) with help from the accompanying workbook. Once the Horti is connected with a water container, users can go about their day and be assured their plant is receiving the optimal amount of water. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Smart Plant-watering Devices:** The Horti provides an innovative solution to the common problem of over-watering or under-watering plants, making it easier for plant owners to maintain their plants. - **Irrigation Systems:** The Horti's irrigation system demonstrates the potential for smart technology to improve water management in agriculture and farming. - **Solar Cell Technology:** The Horti's UV solar cell light system highlights the potential for integrating solar power into everyday devices for sustainable energy solutions. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Smart Home:** The Horti's smart features and connectivity make it a fitting addition to the growing smart home industry, catering to the needs of tech-savvy homeowners. - **Agriculture:** The Horti's plant-watering capabilities showcase the opportunity for efficient and automated irrigation systems in the agricultural industry, optimizing water usage and crop yield. - **Renewable Energy:** The Horti's use of solar cell technology demonstrates the potential for integrating renewable energy sources into various industries for a more sustainable future. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Plant Watering Smart Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/growcube.md) - [Climate-Controlled Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-flower-system.md) - [Smart Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tendril-1.md) - [Automated Plant Irrigation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-irrigation.md) - [Connected Plant Hydration Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/growcube-smart-watering-system.md) - [Water-Powered Planter Smart Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planto.md) - [AI-Powered Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leafypod.md) - [Indoor Houseplant Care Technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/houseplant-care-technology.md) - [Haute Horticulturalist Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-care-system.md)
