# Charging Station Coat Racks The 'Hanna' Hanger is an Adjustable Rack of Coat Hooks with USB Ports By Ady Floyd | Published 2015-10-29 | Updated 2015-11-01 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hanna References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2015/10/29/a-banger-hanger/) & [carrascobarcelo](http://www.carrascobarcelo.com) Designer David Carrasco Barceló created the 'Hanna' hanger, which acts as a sleek silver coat rack with USB ports. The simple design of the Hanna hanger is made to look like one piece of a tire track. The shelf-like coat rack has a solid backing, which can easily be attached to any flat wall. There is a shelving unit and a lip that curves upward towards the ceiling. The lip is divided into sections, which allows for coats to easily hang. The shelf is designed as a safe storage area for [keys, wallets and electronics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arkeep-halo). Additionally, there is a USB port to let devices change while they remain on the storage shelf. This feature will ensure that cellphones and tablets are also charged up before the user heads out the door. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 80% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Usb-integrated Furniture:** Designing furniture with integrated USB charging ports opens up opportunities for modernizing and optimizing workstation and living spaces. - **Multi-purpose Furniture:** Creating pieces of furniture that can serve multiple functions, such as the 'Hanna' hanger's combined use for storage and charging, can provide innovative solutions to maximizing small spaces. - **Wall-mounted Furniture:** Wall-mounted furniture is a disruptive innovation opportunity for designers, enabling them to create pieces that save floor space and can also double as decorative wall art. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** Designers and manufacturers in the furniture industry can look to multi-purpose and wall-mounted furniture design, like the 'Hanna' hanger, to devise space-saving and technologically-equipped furniture for both homes and businesses. - **Real Estate:** Real estate developers and property managers can incorporate technologically-innovative and space-saving furniture, like wall-mounted charging station coat racks, to appeal to modernized living and workspaces and attract potential buyers and tenants. - **Hospitality:** Hospitality businesses, like hotels and coworking spaces, can look to integrating multi-functional and USB-integrated furniture, such as the 'Hanna' hanger, to provide a convenient and unique service to their guests and members. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tripod-Like Garment Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-coat-rack.md) - [Vertical Coat Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-bugle.md) - [Storage-Equipped Restaurant Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rack-chair.md) - [Open-Concept Clothing Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bauhutte-clothes-hanger-rack.md) - [Chinese Character-Shaped Coat Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/resting-coat-rack.md) - [Sporty Climbing-Inspired Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grip-hanger.md) - [Multifunctional Cord Management Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/headphone-hanger.md) - [Quirky Structural Clothes Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hang-we.md) - [Geometrically Shaped Hanger Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/triangle-hanger.md)
