Kawamura-Ganjavian challenges the concept of the "flexible open plan principle" office with the Giraffe Divider. The inspiration behind the design was to create a sense of privacy without interfering with the openness of a room. The Giraffe Divider also conveniently doubles as a pin board and a hub for wired connections. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.5/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Flexible Open Plan Offices:** The Giraffe Divider challenges the concept of open plan offices by providing privacy without compromising the openness of the space. - **Multipurpose Dividers:** The Giraffe Divider's ability to function as a pin board and a hub for wired connections opens up opportunities for creating multifunctional office furniture. - **Privacy Solutions:** The Giraffe Divider offers a new solution for creating privacy in open office spaces, addressing the need for both collaboration and individual work spaces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Office Furniture:** The Giraffe Divider introduces a new design concept that can revolutionize the way office furniture is configured and used. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can explore the potential of the Giraffe Divider to create versatile and flexible office spaces that cater to employees' privacy needs. - **Workspace Solutions:** The Giraffe Divider presents an innovative solution for companies looking to optimize their office layouts and provide a balance between collaboration and privacy. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Design-Conscious Office Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calm-collection.md) - [Work-Enhancing Partitioning Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/partitioning-system.md) - [Contemporary Modular Space Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wallstreet.md) - [Minimal Open-Plan Screen Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arches-screen.md) - [Modular Hybrid Work Layouts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybrid-work-layout.md) - [People-Pleasing Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cubicle-system.md) - [Mobile Professional Workstation Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-desk-divider.md) - [Comical Desk-Side Status Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/work-fence.md) - [Elegant Innovative Room Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glimakra-of-sweden.md)
