This compelling proposal explores the range of innovative materials and mechanisms that are currently available and extrapolates to imagine what might be possible in the design and manufacturing of portable personal electronics in the years to come. This is a revolutionary concept for a tablet that's almost as [physically flexible as fabric](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flexible-briefcase). Composed of many layers of ultra-thin components, the gadget's most seductive feature is its glossy [OLED touchscreen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/huawei-matebook-fold-ultimate). Hold and [fold the invention](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mate-xt-ultimate-design) in any way you like and it's sensitive enough to alter its display. Different commands can be communicated simply by manipulating the tablet in specific ways. One neat function is that through creasing it once, the lower part will convert into a keyboard. Over time, the device even evolves to more efficiently meet your needs. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 87% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Flexible Electronics:** Opportunity for developing advanced flexible electronic devices for various applications. - **Adaptive Displays:** Opportunity to create highly responsive displays that can change based on user interaction. - **Evolving Devices:** Opportunity to design devices that continuously adapt and improve over time. ### Where This Applies - **Consumer Electronics:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in developing new portable personal electronic devices. - **Materials Science:** Opportunity for advancements in innovative materials for the manufacturing of flexible electronics. - **User Interface Design:** Opportunity to design intuitive and interactive interfaces for adaptive displays. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multifunctional Foldable Mobile Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/move-mobile-device.md) - [Transforming Tablet Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-galaxy-fold-mini-concept.md) - [Tri-Fold Mobile Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-galaxy-trifold.md) - [Flexible Folding Concept Phone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flex-in-out-flip.md) - [Immersive All-Screen Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/macbook-folio.md) - [Script-Like Foldable Display Screens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rollable-flex.md) - [Rolling Productivity Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rollable-phablet.md) - [Tri-Folding Smartphone Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tecno-phantom-ultimate-2.md) - [Triple-Folding Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zero-series-mini-trifold.md)
