Tracy Deramus is officially the greatest woman on the planet (in a male’s eyes) for creating the Fatties Chair. This beautifully composed [chair brings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kartela) two male pleasantries (ties and loungers) together in a colorful and comfortable arrangement. This chair is a Father’s Day dream. I would only assume that the downside to this revolutionary (yeah, I said it) invention is that eventually you’re going to want him to stand up and in all seriousness, I wouldn’t expect a response. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 25% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Mixed-function Furniture:** The Fatties Chair combines two different functions, seating and tie display, into one piece of furniture, highlighting the trend of mixed-function furniture. - **Personalized Father's Day Gifts:** The Fatties Chair taps into the trend of personalized and unique Father's Day gifts by incorporating a man's love for lounge chairs and neckties. - **Creative Homeware Design:** The Fatties Chair exemplifies the trend of creative and innovative design in homeware, utilizing ties in an unexpected and functional way. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** The Fatties Chair presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the furniture design industry by merging multiple functions and incorporating unique elements. - **Gift and Novelty:** The Fatties Chair caters to the gift and novelty industry with its personalized and distinctive concept, providing a disruptive innovation opportunity for Father's Day gifts. - **Fashion and Accessories:** The Fatties Chair creates a potential disruptive innovation opportunity in the fashion and accessories industry by showcasing ties as a decorative and functional element in furniture design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Padded Upright Vibrant Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fender-chair.md) - [Childhood-Inspired Outdoor Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peace-outdoor-lounge.md) - [Low-Lying Profile Cushioned Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kouros-maghsoudi.md) - [Pretzel-Like Comfortable Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dohui.md) - [Flatpack Adventure-Ready Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-outdoor-chair.md) - [Sentimental Smooth Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chopper-chair.md) - [Cross-Legged Wide Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lap-chair.md) - [Bungee Cord Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tcord-chair.md) - [Fishing-Inspired Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/akos-huber.md)
