The Cyberhug works by using a network of connected straps resembling a harness. Their prototype is called “iFeel_IM!” which means “I feel therefore I am.” When the prototype is attached to a computer, a series of sensors can “mimic several types of heartbeats, tingling down the spine, and the sensation of having butterflies in one’s stomach.” ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Replicating Human Touch in Online Communication:** Opportunity for developing technology that recreates the sensation of touch when communicating digitally. - **Networked Sensory Devices:** Potential for creating interconnected sensors that can simulate various sensations. - **Enhancing Emotional Connection Online:** Disruptive potential in developing devices that enable emotional connections and intimacy in online interactions. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Technology:** Opportunity for innovation in the technology sector to create devices that replicate human touch online. - **Communication:** Disruptive potential for the communication industry to enhance online communication by introducing sensory devices. - **Social Media:** Opportunity for social media platforms to incorporate sensory devices that can enhance emotional connections between users. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Digital Touch Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kisstouch.md) - [Innovative Aerohaptic System](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aerohaptic.md) - [Responsive Companion Objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trutru-haptic.md) - [Tactile Bare-Hands Metaverse Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emerge.md) - [Hug-Activated Marketing Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hug-to-unlock.md) - [Emergency Shelter Robot Companions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/power-hug-robot-concept.md) - [AI Hug Videos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-hug-video-generator.md) - [Simulated Heartbeat Necklaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bond-heart.md) - [Human-Computer Interaction Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tech-at-meta.md)
