# Portable In-Car Toilets The Car Pool Was Designed with Long Car Rides in Mind By Ell Smith | Published 2017-12-28 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-car-pool References: [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/napolioven/the-car-pool-the-worlds-most-portable-toilet-for-m?ref=discovery) Anyone who's been stuck in a traffic jam with no toilet in sight will understand the appeal of the Car Pool -- a portable toilet that enables people to relieve themselves, without ruining the inside of one's car, or resulting in an embarrassing accident. This portable device comes in the form of a long tube with a removable head that can be fitted onto virtually any container. If an individual is overcome with the need to use the bathroom, and there's none in sight, they can simply use the tube to re-direct their urine into the container. Although it's not glamorous or private, the Car Pool can help one avoid an accident during those long car journeys. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.8/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Portable-toilets:** Opportunity for innovative portable toilet inventions to meet the needs of people on the go. - **Hygiene-solutions:** Disruptive potential for new products and services that enable personal hygiene in unconventional situations. - **Travel-comfort:** Innovation opportunities to improve the comfort and convenience of long car journeys. ### Who This Affects Most - **Automotive:** Potential for car manufacturers to integrate portable toilets or related features for passenger convenience. - **Travel and Tourism:** Opportunity to provide portable toilet solutions for travelers, enhancing their experience and comfort during long journeys. - **Outdoor Adventure:** Disruptive potential for companies specializing in outdoor gear and equipment to develop compact and portable toilet solutions for camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Inflatable Portable Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airpot.md) - [Compact Portable Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clesana-x1-camping-toilet.md) - [Water-Free Telescoping Toilet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clesana-x1.md) - [Luxury Mobile Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-mobile-toilet.md) - [Two-in-One Toilet Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/potty-pods.md) - [Lavatory Travel Guides](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/encycloopedia.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Metallic Potty Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-portal.md) - [Cubic Car Camper Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carsule-portable-popup-tent.md) - [Car-Designed Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-purifier1.md)
