Situated amidst the Lammermuir Hills, the rental properties consist of [converted buses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elo-concept) that have been transformed into spacious, well-appointed dwellings that can be rented over on Airbnb for £150 per night. Each of the homes allow guests to sleep under the stars thanks to the [glass roof](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beaufort-bushland-retreat), while the modern kitchen, bathroom and living areas keep you comfortable at all times. The Bus Stop rental property is a part of the growing prevalence of rustic getaway experiences that are being created to offer consumers a way to try out different, alternative lifestyles. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Hip Hotels](https://www.trendhunter.com/hiphotels) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Rustic Getaway Experiences:** The growing prevalence of rustic getaway experiences offers an opportunity for innovative accommodation solutions that cater to adventurous travelers seeking unique and alternative lifestyles. - **Unorthodox Vacation Rentals:** The rise of unorthodox vacation rentals opens up possibilities for entrepreneurs to repurpose unconventional spaces, such as converted buses, to provide memorable and distinctive lodging experiences. - **Alternative Lifestyle Tourism:** The demand for alternative lifestyle tourism creates room for innovative companies to create experiential travel opportunities, like The Bus Stop in Scotland, that allow guests to immerse themselves in unconventional living spaces. ### Where This Applies - **Hospitality and Accommodation:** The hospitality and accommodation industry can explore disruptive innovations in providing unique and unconventional lodging options, like converted bus rentals, to cater to the growing demand for offbeat experiences. - **Tourism and Travel:** The tourism and travel industry can capitalize on the trend of unorthodox vacation rentals by promoting and facilitating experiential journeys that allow travelers to immerse themselves in alternative lifestyles and locations. - **Real Estate and Property Development:** Entrepreneurs in the real estate and property development industry can find opportunities in repurposing unused spaces, such as old buses, into innovative rental properties that appeal to adventurous tourists seeking unique accommodations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pop Culture-Inspired Rentals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airbnb-3.md) - [Filmic Swamp Accommodations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stay-at-shreks-swamp.md) - [Glamping-Geared Campervan Rentals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/campervan-rental.md) - [Vacation Rental Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airbnb-1.md) - [Compact Fully-Functioning Camp Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/busbox.md) - [Rental-Compatible Camper Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camper-kits.md) - [Single-Room Rental Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airbnb-rooms.md) - [Sci-Fi Series-Inspired Rentable Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/byers-house.md) - [Film-Inspired Whimsical Rental Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/icons-program.md)
