The product line includes the new Redwood, Grenadier and Tremletts expressions, which are each crafted in [small batches to ensure quality](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inchs-reserve) and boast an ABV ranging from 6% to 7.6%. The ciders enable the brand to try new ideas and flavors, while still maintaining a focus on its core range to maximize variety for the end consumer. Head Cider Maker Richard Johnson spoke on the new additions to the Thatchers Cider Barn range saying, "Each cider tells a story about the apple varieties, the orchards they come from and the craftsmanship behind every bottle. This year I’ve enjoyed working with single variety apples grown here on [Myrtle Farm](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thatchers-blood-orange-00), rediscovering their unique characteristics, and using our 175-year-old oak vats to infuse depth and flavour.” ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 10% | Activity: 13% | Freshness: 56% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Single-variety Ciders:** An emerging trend is the production of single-variety ciders that highlights the distinct flavors and characteristics of specific apple types for a refined tasting experience. - **Artisanal Alcoholic Beverages:** Small-batch production in the alcohol industry is gaining attention as consumers seek high-quality, handcrafted beverages with unique flavor profiles. - **Story-driven Branding:** Brands are increasingly focusing on storytelling to market products, offering consumers a narrative that enhances the allure and perceived value of the beverage. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Craft Beverage Industry:** The craft beverage industry is expanding with consumers gravitating towards niche, artisanal products that offer unique tastes and experiences. - **Alcoholic Beverage Industry:** In the alcoholic beverage industry, there is a shift towards premiumization with the introduction of limited-edition, small-batch offerings that cater to discerning palates. - **Agriculture and Orchard Management:** Innovations in agriculture and orchard management provide new opportunities to cultivate unique apple varieties that enhance cider production and diversity. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Branded Holiday Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/signature-cocktail.md) - [Festive Tonic-Crafted Mocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mocktails-for-winter.md) - [Gut-Friendly Premium Sodas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jamu.md) - [Spiked Prebiotic Sodas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/popsips.md) - [Chewable ACV Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-cider-vinegar-crunch.md) - [Rotisserie-Style Chicken Alternatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotisserie-seasoned-chicken.md) - [Boldly Flavored Cider Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kopparberg-sweet-vintage.md) - [Seasonal Craft Mocktail Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/craft-mocktail.md) - [Gut Health Booster Shots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gut-health-booster.md)
