# Emotionally Expressive Portraits Thaisy Marin Paintings Capture the Drama of the Subjects' Lives By Gil Cohen | Published 2013-01-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thaisy-marin-paintings References: [cuded](http://www.cuded.com/2013/01/paintings-by-thaisy-j-marin-rodriguez/) & [thaisymarin](http://www.thaisymarin.com/) The drama and beauty infused into the Thaisy Marin Paintings narrates the lives of the women featured in them. Artist Thaisy J. Marín Rodríguez does not stick with one idealized version of what it means to be beautiful. She makes a point of [painting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-exhibition) all different types of women, from different cultural backgrounds, and gives each of them their own personality. You can see the emotions and feelings of each woman as the wind rushes through her hair and the world around her seems blurred. The eyes of the women pierce through the canvas, conveying wisdom and sorrow, as well as love and passion. The [portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-portraits) in the Thaisy Marin Paintings are not simple still life illustrations; they are full of dramatic movement and emotional expression. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Emotive Art:** Art that captures strong emotions and feelings of the subjects, creating a deeper connection with the audience. - **Diversity in Art:** Inclusive art that features representations of different cultures, ethnicities, and body types, promoting diversity and inclusion. - **Dynamic Portraiture:** Portraits that convey movement and action, creating a strong visual impact. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Fine Arts:** Fine arts industry can integrate emotive and dynamic art to reach a wider audience and create more meaningful connections with buyers. - **Marketing and Advertising:** Marketing and advertising agencies can use emotive and diverse art in their campaigns to convey a deeper sense of authenticity and inclusivity. - **Fashion and Beauty:** Fashion and beauty industries can embrace diversity in art and use emotive and dynamic art in their campaigns to inspire and empower their customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Human Nature-Themed Art Galleries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sea-im-awake.md) - [Vibrantly Colorful Dynamic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kayla-rumpp.md) - [Glamorous Artful Bronze Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sweet-jane.md) - [Intricate Fiber Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threadwork-women-redefining-fiber-arts.md) - [Reimagined Puzzled Artful Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portrait-of-a-woman-in-a-hat.md) - [Mexican-Painter-Inspired Fragrances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frida-kahlo-eau.md) - [Modern Poertic Ceramics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/virginia-sin.md) - [Raunchy Anime-Inspired Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manuela-soto-sosa.md) - [Boundary-Pushing Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/briony-douglas-1.md)
