# Harmonious-Driven Thai Homes Teerachai Leesuraplanon's Project is Informed by Feng Shui By Kalin Ned | Published 2018-03-11 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thai-home References: [archdaily](https://www.archdaily.com/889993/lean-house-teerachai-leesuraplanon) & [facebook](https://www.facebook.com/teerachai.leesuraplanon) This Thai home by Teerachai Leesuraplanon architects is more than just a structurally sound building design. The '[Baan Ing Gaya](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baan-oo),' translated to 'Lean House,' is arranged in accordance with the metaphysical practice of Feng Shui for a senior Chinese-Thai man who is experiencing a fundamental change in lifestyle. Natural elements are very important to the meditative art of the quasi-philosophical system, hence the Thai home is constructed with [locally sourced Angthong bricks and wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/terracotta-breath). Moving from a four storey commercial building to a single storey Thai home, the owner is adjusting to a new context in the spacious and mental sense. Seeking out to balance modern thinking with traditional values, the Teerachai Leesuraplanon firm used cues from both Thai and Chinese architecture and a healthy blend of convention and science.
