[Nendo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nendo-and-daniel-arsham) works in collaboration with AREP to design the interiors of the TGV Inoui train. This is the fifth generation and the team embraces the [connection between the train and river](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mekong-river). The passenger experience is meant to reflect this through the [soothing qualities of water](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sea-containers) translated through its design.

The project started in 2016 and has soft forms and tonal palettes. The redesigned carriages showcase an immediate sense of calmness with a fluid horizon line that continues throughout the interior. This forms a continuity that looks like the surface of water. This element also serves various purposes to create perspective and orient passengers in the space in a subtle way. The effects are natural which is important to maintain.
