# Irregular Shading Facades Tetrarc Turns an Office Building into a Yellow Geometric Shape By Jamie Danielle Munro | Published 2014-07-18 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tetrarc References: [designboom](http://www.designboom.com/architecture/tetrarc-architectes-hub-creatic-nantes-07-18-2014/) & [tetrarc.fr](http://www.tetrarc.fr/) The French-based architecture firm Tetrarc has turned an office building into a symbol of innovation. The structure is home to multiple startup businesses in the digital industries, so having a distinct building to match these forward-thinking ideas was crucial. The outside consists of irregular yellow rectangles that go around the windows. These help to provide a form of shading during the warmer months. No two shading panels are the same, making each one compliment each other with their different designs. For a building that houses over 70 businesses, it's important to foster an innovative atmosphere, and having this facade certainly helps to get people in the right mindset before they sit down and start work for the day.
