The collection is comprised of 16 different tonal options and can be shifted around to create different [cloud formations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-tables1). The inspiration behind the new series is the natural movement and formations of the clouds, with modular elements to emulate that. The [color palette](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2026-colors-of-the-year) is similar to the natural hues of the sky, ranging from orange, blue, green, and grey -- all of which have a dappling finish. Every colorway receives a name to represent the different types of weather to correlate to its hue. The darker skies include names such as Thunderbolt, Mistral Gale, and Stormy Weather, light skies have names such as Sunset Sky, April Shower, and Dawn Chorus. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.5/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Nature-inspired Carpet Tiles:** Exploring the use of natural elements and inspiration to create innovative carpet tiles in the flooring industry. - **Modular Flooring Design:** Introducing modular elements into flooring design to enable customizability, versatility, and flexibility in various spaces. - **Color-themed Flooring Collections:** Developing color palette ranges with unique names that correlate to certain environments, weather, and moods to cater to individual style preferences in interior design. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunities include creating innovative and aesthetically pleasing flooring options inspired by natural elements and color palettes to transform indoor spaces. - **Architecture:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in the architecture industry include incorporating modular flooring designs to create customizable and adaptable environments in various types of spaces and buildings. - **Hospitality:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in hospitality industry include incorporating nature-inspired and color-themed flooring collections to create unique and immersive experiences for guests and customers in hotels, resorts, and other businesses. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Comfortable Inclusive Carpet Tiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modulyss.md) - [Dynamic Flatwoven Carpet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/matter-colection.md) - [Seasonal Tonal Acoustic Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woven-image.md) - [Porcelain Stoneware Tile Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-indoor-tile.md) - [Season-Inspired Rug Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artistic-rug-range.md) - [Expansive Motion-Inspired Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forma-textile.md) - [Optical Illusion Carpets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-3d-carpet.md) - [Geometric Wood Flooring](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-kaleidoscope-collection.md) - [Cloud-Inspired Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-tables1.md)
