The vehicle appears to start off with a Tesla [Roadster](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yamaha-tricera) base that has been paired with technological accents from SpaceX along with a bevy of Back to the Future-themed components. This helps it look like an ultra-modern version of the [DeLorean](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delorean-concept) from the aforementioned film that would be perfect for Doc Brown and Marty McFly to use for getting around town (or to alternate futures). The Tesla x SpaceX x BTTF has also been posed alongside the [Mattel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hot-wheels-rc-original-edition-batmobile) Hoverboard from the 80s film series that further enhances the retro yet modern aesthetic of the vehicle. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 96% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Retro-futuristic Electric Vehicles:** The fusion of vintage design with modern technology opens up opportunities for new and nostalgic car lovers. - **Themed Electric Vehicles:** Bringing popular cultural references in electric car designs invites innovation in the industry. - **Collaborative Electric Vehicle Design:** Cross-industry collaborations pave the way to unique electric automobile design. ### Where This Applies - **Automotive Industry:** Innovative electric vehicle designs have the potential to revolutionize the automotive industry by satisfying current consumer demands for retro-futuristic aesthetic. - **Entertainment Industry:** The integration of pop culture references with electric car designs can establish new revenue streams within the entertainment industry. - **Technology Industry:** Synergizing technological advancements from various tech companies could spur unique and eye-catching designs in the electric automobile industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Retro Off-Road Electric Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delorean-concept.md) - [Movie-Inspired Gullwing EVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delorean-motor-company.md) - [Retro-Futuristic Sports Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delorean-cyberpunk-concept.md) - [Electric Gull-Winged Door Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delorean-alpha5.md) - [Post-Colonization Mars Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacex-fusion-concept.md) - [Modern Electrified Retro Automobiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/two8esl.md) - [Post-Apocalyptic Off-Road Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delorean-omega-2040-concept.md) - [Dystopian Electric Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upfit-cyberpunk-tactile.md) - [Retro-Futuristic Sports Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-928.md)
