The tent is constructed using Kaleidoscope nylon material to give it an ultra-lightweight construction, which is further reinforced thanks to a [geodesic airframe design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expedition-tent). An extendable awning comes out of the rear to provide additional covered space for campers to take advantage of. The Tesla Cybertruck Basecamp tent is priced at $2,975 and is accented by a weather-resistant outer shell to further enhance its protected design. The tent is fully collapsible and is kept self-contained within a pack on the top of the vehicle below the tonneau cover when not in use. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 19% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Geodesic EV Truck Tents:** The Tesla Cybertruck Basecamp tent features a geodesic airframe design, offering disruptive innovation opportunities in the camping gear industry. - **Kaleidoscope Nylon Material:** The Kaleidoscope nylon material used in the Tesla Cybertruck Basecamp tent creates an ultra-lightweight construction, presenting disruptive innovation opportunities in the textile industry. - **Extendable Awning:** The Tesla Cybertruck Basecamp tent's extendable awning provides additional covered space, opening up disruptive innovation opportunities in the outdoor equipment industry. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Camping Gear:** The Tesla Cybertruck Basecamp tent, with its geodesic airframe design, disrupts the camping gear industry by offering a unique and lightweight camping experience. - **Textile:** The use of Kaleidoscope nylon material in the Tesla Cybertruck Basecamp tent disrupts the textile industry by providing an ultralight yet durable material solution for camping equipment. - **Outdoor Equipment:** The extendable awning on the Tesla Cybertruck Basecamp tent disrupts the outdoor equipment industry by offering campers additional covered space for a more comfortable outdoor experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Modern EV Rooftop Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-campers-the-cap.md) - [Electric Vehicle Camping Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tesloid-model-y-camping-tent.md) - [Electric Vehicle Camping Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tentsla-x1-tent.md) - [Angular Truck-Converting Campers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-camper.md) - [Branded EV Rooftop Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rivian-x-ikamper-skycamp-mini.md) - [Lightweight Folding Vehicle Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-rv-pod.md) - [Slender Tool-Free Rooftop Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mars-aeroblade.md) - [Conformable Concept Campers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-camper.md) - [Collaboration Geodesic Tent Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heimplanet-x-66north-cave-tent.md)
