He first tried this in 2007 and after successful completion decided to make another one for 2009, this time the Tesla coil tree would be bigger and better. This [creative light display](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-constellation-of-love) isn’t for inside the family home. Also, putting presents under the Tesla coil Christmas tree is not recommended. Measuring nine meters and using long exposure, rotating colored filters allows Terren to create the outline of a colorful tree. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 11% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Special](https://www.trendhunter.com/special) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Tesla Coil Christmas Trees:** The trend of creating large, unique, and creative Christmas tree displays using Tesla coil technology. - **Interactive Holiday Light Shows:** The trend of using technology to create interactive and dynamic holiday light displays. - **Alternative Holiday Decorations:** The trend of exploring alternative and unconventional holiday decorations that utilize uncommon materials or technology. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can leverage Tesla coil Christmas trees and interactive light shows for experiential events or performances. - **Technology:** The technology industry can explore the innovative applications of Tesla coil technology and long-exposure photography within the context of the holiday season. - **Retail:** The retail industry can incorporate the trend of alternative holiday decorations into their merchandising displays to appeal to consumers seeking unique experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cutout Christmas Tree Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christmas-tree-display.md) - [Illuminated Christmas Tree Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/all-lit-up.md) - [Christmas-Themed USB Keys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psb-xmas-tree.md) - [Karaoke Christmas Trees](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holiday-tree-display.md) - [Plastic Bottle-Made Christmas Trees](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caroline-chaptini.md) - [Recycled Wood Christmas Trees](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sustainable-christmas-tree-alternative.md) - [Smart Holiday Windows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alexa-in-a-pear-tree.md) - [Gaming Star Toppers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/invincibility-star.md) - [Seamless Color-Changing Christmas Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/festavia-string.md)
