# Compact Spy Bushes The Terrestrial Shrub Rover Lets You Stake Out Unsuspecting Neighbors By Marissa Liu | Published 2010-06-10 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/terrestrial-shrub-rover References: [jalopnik](http://jalopnik.com/5559408/a-high) The Terrestrial Shrub Rover by Jason Shull is a go kart adorned with a [fiberglass dome](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sphere-vehicle) and [fake shrubbery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wonder-block). The electric-powered, stake-out vehicle, which debuted at Grounds for Sculpture, is a small, single person surveillance unit that will allow you to spy on others fairly undetected. Whether you find the Terrestrial Shrub Rover to be creepy or creative, there is obviously a market for such things. I think it would be more effective if the shape was more natural, though, instead of a perfectly trimmed cube. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 69% | Activity: 91% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Covert Technology:** Opportunities for further development in surveillance technology that can blend in with natural environments. - **Stealth Vehicles:** Innovation in stealth vehicles designed for covert surveillance. - **Fiberglass Innovations:** Advancement in the use of fiberglass as material for covert technology. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Security:** An industry that can benefit from the development of efficient and discreet surveillance equipment. - **Law Enforcement:** Opportunities for law enforcement to improve stake-out operations through the use of discreet vehicle technologies. - **Art Installation:** The Art Industry can benefit from incorporating the use of discreet technology into installations to surprise and engage audiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dog-Inspired Surveillance Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robot-dog-concept.md) - [Roving Security Surveillance Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rbwatcher.md) - [Novel Home Security Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-security-concept.md) - [Multi-Tasking Garden Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/master-x-vison.md) - [Visual Detection Robotic Lawnmowers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lawn-care-robot.md) - [Escapism Electric Vehicle Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trekker-concept-vehicle.md) - [Angular Remote-Controlled Tanks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rc-kit.md) - [Solar-Powered Robotic Lawnmowers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunscout-pro-robot-lawnmower.md) - [Mars ATV Trikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atv-trike.md)
