Teni & Tayo Creations is a black-owned, woman-led company that produces [STEM kits, toys, books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/science-activity-kits), apparel, and more for kids. Founder Omobola Imoisili, known for being a STEM robotics and African Folktales teacher, got many ideas for her [subscription box](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mytherabox) from her students and their subject material. Each box contains materials for kids to build items like flip-flops, doll clothes, head attire, and more. In addition, there is a fact sheet related to the topic of the month, information on the charity that is being supported for the month, and a video tutorial detailing how to build the craft.

The brand also themes its boxes around a topic of the month, which can cover things like fabric, tools, and other culture-specific items. Some of the items offered are STEM toys, so Imoisili runs trials in her own class before launching a box. For each box purchased, Teni & Tayo will donate a percentage of the proceeds to help those in need in Africa and the African diaspora.
