This year's edition of the popular event is set to be held from February 20-27. What gives the Telluride Gay Ski Week such a unique, intimate and welcoming feel is the fact that is held in a rather unpretentious and welcoming ski town. Telluride sits smack in a canyon surrounded by 13,000-foot San Juan Mountains peaks that will simply take your breath away. This gay ski week event makes for a fantastic get-away for LGBT couples, singles and indeed anyone drawn to the idea of a week of skiing and partying in the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 27% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Sports](https://www.trendhunter.com/sports) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **LGBT Ski Events:** The popularity of LGBT ski events is growing, creating opportunities for ski resorts and event organizers to offer inclusive experiences in unique locations. - **Inclusive Tourism:** The rise of inclusive tourism during LGBT events creates opportunities for businesses to embrace diversity and provide unique travel experiences. - **Community-led Events:** Community-led LGBT events, like the Telluride Gay Ski Week, could inspire businesses to incorporate more community involvement and local connections in their offerings. ### Who This Affects Most - **Ski Resorts:** Ski resorts can capitalize on the growing demand for LGBT ski events by offering inclusive experiences and promotions to attract a diverse clientele. - **Event Planning:** Event planners can specialize in LGBT events and offer unique, personalized experiences that cater to the specific needs and interests of the LGBT community. - **Tourism:** The tourism industry has the opportunity to showcase unique and inclusive travel experiences during LGBT events that go beyond traditional offerings, and cater to diverse communities. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [LGBTQI+-Friendly Travel Destinations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lgbtqifriendly-travel.md) - [Festive Nevadan Resort Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/margaritaville-resort-lake-tahoe.md) - [Inclusive LGBTQ+ Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inclusive-lgbtq-event.md) - [Holiday-Ready Luxury Hotel Programming](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-lodge-at-spruce-peak.md) - [Winter-Themed Hotel Offerings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mt-harriets.md) - [Pride Month-Focused Mixology Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celebratingyou-campaign.md) - [Timepiece-Focused Event Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/watch-week-aspen-2025.md) - [Snow-Themed Winter Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/le-massif-de-charlevoix.md) - [Ski-Thru Chalets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boursin-aprsski-thru.md)
