# Beginner Telescope Concepts This Telescope for Beginners is Portable and Easy to Use By Riley von Niessen | Published 2016-05-17 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/telescope-for-beginners References: [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1592946658/bright-eye-telescopes?ref=category) & [everythingintheuniverse](http://everythingintheuniverse.com/) 'Bright-Eye Telescopes' are designed by scientist Normal Sperling, whose telescope for beginners was made to take the fear out of learning -- giving everyone the opportunity to explore the stars. As an astronomy teacher, Norman saw the lack of interest his students had in using conventional telescopes, inspiring him to create a design that would take away this frustration. The simplistic device sets up in just 15 seconds -- what is said to be "the fastest of any telescope." The Bright-Eye is perfect for kids because it's stable and easy to carry, especially with the thick travelling strap that it comes with. It is also sold alongside an instruction manual and a "[star-finding book](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stellarscope-1)." The Bright-Eye also comes with a [large lens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zero-tube) that makes it quick to find stunning views with an image that is bright and contrasted. As Norman Sperling advises, this telescope for beginners is great for classrooms and kids, as well as any amateur stargazer. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Portable Telescopes:** Designing telescopes that are compact and easy to carry opens up new opportunities for beginners and on-the-go stargazers. - **Simplified Telescope Setup:** Streamlining the setup process of telescopes, like the Bright-Eye, can remove barriers for beginners and encourage more people to explore astronomy. - **Engaging Telescope Designs:** Developing visually appealing and user-friendly telescopes, such as the Bright-Eye, can spark interest among students and amateur stargazers. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Education:** Creating telescopes specifically designed for classrooms can enhance astronomy education and make learning about the stars more engaging. - **Outdoor Recreation:** Incorporating portable and easy-to-use telescopes into outdoor recreation activities can cater to stargazing enthusiasts and adventure seekers. - **Consumer Electronics:** Integrating simplified and intuitive telescope designs into the consumer electronics market can attract a wider audience and drive innovation in this space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Kid-Friendly Telescopes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leapfrog-magic-adventures-telescope.md) - [Automated Micro-Sized Telescopes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dwarf-mini.md) - [Consumer-Grade Connective Telescopes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/equinox-2.md) - [Intelligent Connected Telescope Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/decouvir-telescope.md) - [Digital Book-Style Telescopes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dwarf-iii.md) - [Crystal-Clear Smart Telescopes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-telescopes.md) - [Automated Algorithm-Powered Telescopes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-space-telescope.md) - [Smartphone-Connected Telescopes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dwarf-ii-portable-smart-telescope.md) - [Star-Finding Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stellarscope-1.md)
