Now available for professional and individual users, this service makes it possible to scan the real world into the virtual one, simplifying the creation of digital twins. With the Teleport app—and a supported device like an [iPhone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mixedreality-creation-application) or [iPad](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/augmented-reality-educational-app) running on iOS 17 or later—members can capture and recreate real-world destinations in no time at all—just five to 10 minutes, which offers a significant upgrade from traditional photogrammetry options. Once captured, scanned environments can be explored on mobile devices, PCs, Varjo’s XR headsets or other major PC VR headsets. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 35% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Multimedia](https://www.trendhunter.com/multimedia) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Digital Twin Scalability:** The advent of scan-to-VR technology is revolutionizing the speed and ease of creating digital twins, enhancing scalability for businesses looking to digitize real-world environments quickly. - **Mobile-enhanced VR Solutions:** Utilizing smartphones to capture real-world scenes for VR applications signifies a cost-effective shift in VR content creation, broadening access to advanced simulation technologies. - **Mixed-reality Integration:** Integrating VR environments with real-world data through rapid capture techniques is enhancing mixed-reality experiences, fostering more immersive and interactive user engagements. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Real Estate:** The real estate industry can leverage scan-to-VR technology for creating virtual tours that allow clients to explore properties remotely with high precision and efficiency. - **Architecture and Design:** Architects and designers are poised to benefit from instant VR renderings of physical spaces, facilitating more dynamic presentations and project planning. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Tourism operators and hospitality providers can create virtual replicas of travel destinations, offering prospective visitors digital previews and enhancing their decision-making process. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mobile 3D Scanning Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/realityscan.md) - [Real-Time Hologram Applications](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holoport.md) - [High-Power Pro-Grade VR Headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/varjo-xr4-series.md) - [Mixed-Reality Creation Applications](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mixedreality-creation-application.md) - [AI-Powered Realistic Metaverses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meetkai-metaverse.md) - [Travel-Inspired VR Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/othersight.md) - [3D Room Scanning Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/room-scanner.md) - [Enterprise-Ready VR Headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lenovo-thinkreality-vrx.md) - [Sports Event Virtual-Reality Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xtadium.md)
