As the founder of the internationally renowned sculpture studio Prototype New York LLC, Lawson's work often mixes traditional sculpting methods with new digital technology. In this work, Lawson uses Epoxy, Silicone and Urethane in order to recreate the female form. The floating female figure appears to be melting in dripping in bright pink bubble-gum. As Lawson's website describes his work as a, "working process in an exploration into the human existential experience through imagined models of the universe as pure physical form." Ted Lawson 'Mortality is a Myth' is a conceptual piece seems to have the levitating female stuck in purgatory. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.3/10 - Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Curvaceous Concept Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jeahyo-lee-jeahyo-lee.md) - [Classical Comic Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-heroes.md) - [Sooty Self-Portrait Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ash-head-no-1.md) - [Contemporary Carbonite Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dale-dunning.md) - [Gory Frozen Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/self-blood-head.md) - [Super Soaker Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/douglas-young.md) - [Piercing Flock Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-swarm.md) - [Stringy Steel Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/convergence-chris-fox.md)
