# Stone Age-Inspired Furniture The Rock and Roll Table by Team 7 is an Antiquated Accessory By Andrew Robertson | Published 2012-03-29 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/team-7 References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/006349.html) & [team7.at](http://www.team7.at/en) The new [Rock and Roll Table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rock-capital-warsaw-office) by Austrian based manufacturer [Team 7](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grownup-repair-kit) is a beautiful [coffee table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seahorse-coffee-table) inspired by the cutting tool from the stone age. Reminiscent of a shell or pine cone, the Rock and Roll Table designed by Sebastian Desch is hand-carved out of "three dimensional wood segments." The rustic aesthetic of the table makes it a comforting addition to your home decor, while the smooth finish and modern design makes this a delicate and eye-catching piece. The distinct pattern on the table is suggestive of primitive utensils and tools. This archaic resemblance complements the table's subtle and antiquated appeal. The Rock and Roll Table is a distinguished piece of furniture, adding a cultured and refined touch to your living room, study or office. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 68% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Stone Age-inspired Furniture:** Designing modern furniture inspired by primitive tools and patterns. - **Hand-carved 3D Wood Segments:** Using traditional woodworking techniques to create unique pieces of furniture. - **Rustic Aesthetic:** Incorporating a natural, aged look into contemporary design. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture:** Innovative furniture companies using traditional woodworking techniques. - **Home Decor:** Businesses that incorporate rustic and primitive design elements into modern homes. - **Interior Design:** Designers who use nature-inspired elements and historical influences in contemporary spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Topographic Wooden Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/topographic-coffee-table.md) - [Geologically Fluid Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-geology-table-collection.md) - [Ultra-Chic Marble Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abc-stone.md) - [Volcanically Inspired Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magma-coffee-table.md) - [Artful Stone Table Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tom-black.md) - [Rustic Recycled Wood Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/primitive-structures-table-design.md) - [Statuesque Marble Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mawe-low-coffee-table.md) - [Dynamic Strong Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sharp-table.md) - [Fluid Topographic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-table.md)
