# Upcycled Canister Time Tellers The Tea Tin Desk Clocks Have an Antiquated Appeal By Gil Cohen | Published 2012-12-11 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tea-tin-desk-clocks References: [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/shop/ReigrucheWerkstatt?ref=seller_info) Reigruche Werkstatt is an Etsy store where upcycled & vintage handmade items, such as the Tea Tin Desk Clocks made by Reigrüche Studio, are sold. These clocks have a very retro look that is created by the vintage materials used to make them. The tins are essentially relics from quainter times when you could purchase coffee and tea in a reusable metal box rather than a throwaway carton. Each tin displays the maker’s label, showing beautiful designs and retro lettering that makes these clocks the perfect decoration for your mantel or table top. Choose from red, mustard, pink, white and black packaging designs. The Tea Tin Desk Clocks add upcycled retro decor to any room in your home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 53% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Upcycling Decor:** Creating new and innovative decor pieces out of used materials. - **Retro Revival:** Bringing back vintage designs and styles into modern times. - **Sustainable Home Accessories:** Providing eco-friendly options for home decor furnishings and accessories. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Using discarded materials to create unique and sustainable home decor. - **Vintage and Antique:** Reviving vintage designs through upcycling and adding value to previously unusable materials. - **Sustainable Retail:** Offering products that are both stylish and eco-friendly, carving a niche in the sustainable market. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Car Instrument Alarm Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reengauge-alarm-clocks.md) - [Bespoke Brass Vintage Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nixei.md) - [Recycled Plastic Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shinola-detrola.md) - [Chic Modern Cuckoo Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-cuckoo-clock1.md) - [Single-Digit Nixie Tube Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamp-clocks.md) - [Nostalgic 3D-Printed Arcade Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arcade-clock.md) - [Shooting Target Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clockwerk-target-clocks.md) - [Retro Digital Flip Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flip-clock1.md) - [Elegant Linear Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linear-clockworks.md)
