# Miniature Candlelit Lamps The Tea Light Shadow Lamp by Norm Architects Has Interchangeable Shades By Marissa Brassfield | Published 2011-05-02 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tea-light-shadow-lamp References: [designscene.net](http://www.designscene.net/2011/05/tea-light-shadow-lamp-norm-architects.html) & [normcph](http://www.normcph.com/) Tea lights are a simple way to add a romantic aesthetic to your interior, and the Tea Light Shadow Lamp by [Norm Architects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1-hotel-copenhagen) add some class to this classic theme. The [tea lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tolo-tea-candle) come with interchangeable patterned shades in printed, striped and frosted varieties. My favorite of the print shades is the one with the tiny illustrated chicks. While the Tea Light Shadow Lamp is an understated, almost masculine option for decor, the ambience and mystery that candlelight adds is undeniable. Kasper Ronn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen designed the little lights, using their background in architecture to convey a modern feel to standard home illumination. I could see these miniature lamps in a gentleman's bedroom or lining the bar at a dark nightclub. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Shadow Lamp Trend:** The Tea Light Shadow Lamp is an example of a trend towards utilizing shadows as a decorative element, providing opportunities for innovative designs in lighting and decor. - **Interchangeable Shades Trend:** The Tea Light Shadow Lamp's interchangeable shades showcase a trend in personalization and user customization, allowing for opportunities in product design and marketing. - **Miniature Light Trend:** The Tea Light Shadow Lamp's compact and portable design reflects a trend towards smaller, more streamlined home decor, offering innovation opportunities in space-saving and multi-functional products. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor Industry:** The Tea Light Shadow Lamp is a product that can be featured in the home decor industry, showcasing innovation with the use of shadows, interchangeability, and miniature design trends. - **Hospitality Industry:** The Tea Light Shadow Lamp can be incorporated in the hospitality industry, particularly in bars, creating a mysterious and intimate ambiance, where interchangeable shades can create personalized experiences for customers. - **Lighting Industry:** The Tea Light Shadow Lamp can inspire innovations in the lighting industry by using its design elements to create new products, such as innovative shades, portable lighting, and customizable designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Romantic Modern Lighting Sources](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wick-s.md) - [Elegant Metal Perforated Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foreshadow-table-lamp.md) - [Retro-Tinged Compact Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lari-mini.md) - [Silkworm-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phantom-lighting.md) - [Miniature Portable Ambiant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blossi.md) - [Archetypal Conical Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragile-lamp.md) - [Pencil Shaving-Inspired Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sharpener-lampshades.md) - [Mushroom-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humble-lights.md)
