A British company invented the Taxi Hailer which resembles an indicator light mounted in a sleek [iPod](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ipod-classic-iphone-17-case) case. The idea is simple, just point the flasher out on the street, and presto; the taxi cab driver is there. "The most common method of hailing a taxi in the street is by raising a hand, however it only works if the driver sees you," the site explains, adding that 96% of taxi drivers will stop for the first person they see. "Taxi Hailer embraces this common international body language of raising a hand, and clearly identifies you as a fare to the taxi driver." "Using a energy efficient super bright LED flashing light, the Taxi Hailer is an inexpensive, credit card size and a simple to operate product that will assist you in quickly hailing a taxi." The customer's reviews are looking good. Will this trend swing over to other parts of the world? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Taxi Hailer Tech:** The trend of incorporating technology to make taxi hailing easier and more efficient. - **Led-enabled Solutions:** The trend of using LED lights to create innovative solutions. - **Smart Transportation Accessories:** The trend of developing smart accessories to enhance the transportation experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Transportation:** The transportation industry can utilize taxi hailer tech as an opportunity to improve passenger experience. - **Consumer Electronics:** The consumer electronics industry may find potential for growth in the LED-enabled solutions market. - **Fashion and Accessories:** The fashion industry can explore smart transportation accessories as a new avenue of innovation and consumer engagement. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Peformance-Enhancing Taxi Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ajman-transport-authority.md) - [Smart Safety Flashlights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timeli-flashlight.md) - [Tech-Visible Bike Reflectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/radian-wingman.md) - [Emergency Distress Signals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sos-light-app.md) - [Belize-Based Sustainable Transportation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eride-taxi.md) - [Polite Driver Communication Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sorry-thanks-car-sign.md) - [Tech-Enhanced Safety Bike Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rear-bike-light.md) - [Omnidirectional Bike Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vis-lightpool-taillight.md) - [Bid-Based Ride Hailing Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/indrive.md)
