His illustration of Japan's Miroku Waterfall is no exception and features a vibrant design that is nothing like the typical spreadsheet file. Located in Aomori Prefecture, Miroku Waterfall is named after a Buddhist priest who protected the poor by fasting during his years of service. This stunning natural landmark is depicted in a sea of Autumn hues that vary from citruses and reds to rich browns and yellows. Tatsuo Horiuchi's limited edition composition is part of a 50 print set and will be available for sale on Spoon & Tamago's web shop. The blog was so impressed with the artist's work that they have made his art available outside of Japan for the first time. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Spreadsheet Art:** Opportunity for artists to use unconventional mediums to create unique masterpieces. - **Excel Art:** Microsoft Excel spreadsheets can be repurposed as a tool for creative expression and art. - **Digital Art:** The shift towards digital mediums has opened up new opportunities for artists to showcase their talent. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Artists and designers can explore unconventional mediums to push the boundaries of traditional art forms. - **Technology and Software:** Tech companies can provide new tools and software for artists to create unique digital art pieces. - **E-commerce and Retail:** Online retailers can expand their product offerings by selling unique and unconventional art pieces like Tatsuo Horiuchi's spreadsheet art. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mesmerizing Fluid Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flow-fountain.md) - [Artist-Inspired Intricate Timepieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reverso-tribute-collection.md) - [Destructive Nature Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keita-miyazaki.md) - [Artful Puzzle Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-great-wave-off-kanagawa.md) - [Stunning Origami Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-portaits.md) - [Climate Change-Informed Cloth Calendars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloth-calendar.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Japanese Heritage-Honoring Graters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sakura-petal-grater.md) - [Waterfall-inspired Stamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stamp-design.md)
