Following in the footsteps of the [New York Times](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nyt-cooking-kits), Tyson Foods' new partnership demonstrates the growing demand for meal kit subscription services. While details are still scarce, Tyson Foods has explained that the new delivery service will feature "a line of chef-inspired meal kits." While it is unclear whether the service will allow customers to order meals individually or on a reoccurring basis, the new service will largely differ from the competition by offering premium proteins. This means that customers will be able to enjoy premium cuts of meat that have been dry-aged, smoked and marinated. All the consumer has to do is cook the meat and experiment with the accompanying ingredients. The new venture reveals the growing shift towards services that make it easier and more convenient for consumers to cook healthy meals at home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 62% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Premium Meal Kit Subscriptions:** The meal kit delivery industry is moving beyond basic meal prep to include premium cuts of meat and other high-end ingredients. - **Chef-inspired Meal Kits:** Meal kit delivery services are partnering with professional chefs to offer customers gourmet meals that are easy to prepare at home. - **Convenience Cooking at Home:** The growth in popularity of meal kit delivery services reflects a consumer desire for healthier, home-cooked meals made with high-quality ingredients with minimal preparation efforts. ### Who This Affects Most - **Food Delivery:** Companies in the food delivery industry can explore partnerships with professional chefs and premium meat suppliers to offer customers high-end meal kit subscriptions and elevate their service offerings. - **Grocery:** Grocery stores can explore innovative ways of offering meal kit deliveries and expanding their product lines to include premium ingredients and chef-inspired recipes. - **Meat Processing:** Meat processing companies can leverage market demand for premium cuts of meat to expand their product lines and seek out partnerships with meal kit delivery companies. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Flavorful Foodservice Proteins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/protein-solutions.md) - [Ready-to-Heat Meal Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/readytoheat-meal-service.md) - [Chef-Curated Meal Subscriptions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upmeals.md) - [Upscale Plant-Based Meal Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eleven-madison.md) - [Fine Dining Meal Deliveries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/entre-meal-kit-delivery-service.md) - [Flavorful Chicken Meals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/honey-chicken-bites.md) - [Celebrity Chef Meal Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celebrity-experiences.md) - [Premium Pork Expansions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chairmans-reserve-prime-pork.md) - [Subscription-Based Food Delivery Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fresh-meal-plan.md)
