The 'Tape with Easy-to-Find End' tackles this very small problem that civilization has come to accept with an idea that's remarkably simple. It was designed by Deockeun An, Cheolwoong Seo and Jaehyung Kim. Essentially, the [cardboard ring](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forevr-roll) on which the adhesive is wrapped has been molded to take a wavy surface. Once the ribbon is laid to take the same form, a gear shape results. While uncomplicated, this is extremely useful because each time you go to get your [packing or your masking tape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seal-draft-and-insulation), you can pull the end straight across a couple of the bumps, creating gaps between it and the roll below. You can cut the far one effectively with a [pair of scissors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hakoake-portable-scissors) and leave the other spanning segment for easy access of the 'Tape with Easy-to-Find End' next time. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Easy-to-find-end Tape:** Creating tape with a molded wavy surface that allows for easy access to the end, reducing frustration and time wastage. - **Improving Packaging Efficiency:** Designing innovative solutions for packaging tapes that simplify the process of locating and using the end, improving productivity. - **Streamlining Adhesive Products:** Exploring new ways to enhance the usability of adhesive products through simple design modifications like undulating adhesive rolls. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Packaging:** Innovating in the packaging industry by introducing tape products with a molded wavy surface that makes finding the end easier for users. - **Manufacturing:** Evaluating ways to streamline the production process of adhesive rolls by incorporating undulating designs for increased user convenience. - **Stationery and Office Supplies:** Driving innovation in the stationery and office supplies industry by introducing easy-to-find-end tape that reduces frustration and improves productivity for users. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sleek Rounded Measuring Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enso-tape.md) - [Clamping Stationery Dispensers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peleg-design-clamptape.md) - [Edible Food-Safe Adhesives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tastee-tape.md) - [Sleek Charging Cable Wraps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taim.md) - [Convenient Checklist Pads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/checklist-sticky-roll.md) - [Reimaged Tissue Paper Constructions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/perfect-tear.md) - [Ultra-Soft Reinvented Toilet Paper](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smooth-tear.md) - [Organic Torn-Edge Labels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pressure-sensitive-labels.md) - [Easy-Open Snack Pouches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/easy-open-snack-pouch.md)
