# Vinelike Wire Covers The Tania da Cruz Florafil Displays Cords as Wall Art By Meghan Young | Published 2011-05-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tania-da-cruz-florafil References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/florafil-by-tania-da-cruz/) & [taniadacruz.portfoliobox.net](http://taniadacruz.portfoliobox.net/gallery/4980/) It's been a while since someone has introduced a new way to turn unsightly [wires and cords](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superwire) into more a manageable and good-looking presence. That is, until I stumbled upon the Tania da Cruz Florafil, of course. What is exceptionally impressive about this creation is that it not only hides your cords in a more pleasing vine-like cover, it actually presents them as a version of [wall art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kriskadecor-1). Decorative and practical, the Tania da Cruz Florafil wire and cord covers are made out of [flexible rubber](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/entwined-objects) that has been shaped to resemble green vines. Although it wouldn't suit any and all rooms, I can definitely see it gracing the walls of one's casual den or even a child's play area. Clean and simple, it really can change the look of one's living space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 17% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Decorative Wire Covers:** Opportunity for designers and manufacturers to create wire covers that not only hide cords but also add a decorative element to the space. - **Flexible Rubber Products:** Innovative uses of flexible rubber materials can provide practical solutions, such as cord covers, that are both functional and visually appealing. - **Transforming Cords Into Wall Art:** The concept of turning cords into wall art presents an opportunity for artists and designers to explore unique ways to integrate technology seamlessly into interior decor. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can leverage decorative wire covers to enhance the aesthetic of spaces while maintaining functionality. - **Rubber Manufacturing:** Rubber manufacturers have the potential to tap into the market for flexible rubber products, including wire and cord covers. - **Art and Design:** Artists and designers can explore the intersection of technology and art by creating innovative wall art designs that incorporate cords and wires. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Design-Conscious Extension Cords](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/willow-power-supply.md) - [All-in-One Desk Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cord-1.md) - [Sleek Charging Cable Wraps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taim.md) - [Snapping Cable Management Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wirestax.md) - [Modular Cable Organizer Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cords.md) - [Wire-Eliminating Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mouse-bungee.md) - [Vibrant Dynamic Wall Plant-Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floos.md) - [Phone Charger Wire Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/co-cable-organizer.md) - [Clutter-Proof USB Power Strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/usb-power-strips.md)
