Dutch architecture studio MVRDV designs the new Tainan Xinhua Fruit and Vegetable Market located in Taiwan. It is highlighted by the large green roof that is adorned with a series of plants and terraces. The market is by the foothills in Tainan, creating a space for people to gather as well.

The space is made in collaboration with local studio LLJ Architects and measures 12,331 square-meters. The aforementioned green roof resembles the look of rolling hills that are meant to blend into the surrounding landscapes. The studio notes that "The building provides an elevated platform from which visitors can appreciate the landscape that characterises this part of Taiwan, from a building that creates a continuation of that landscape."
