Designed by Deniz Aktay, the side table features only straight lines and edges with no curves in sight. What's created is a furniture piece that mimics two cubes intersecting with one another to offer ample space inside for [storage and on top for books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarker-table) or drinks. The Tadashi Side Table could also be paired with a cushion to function as a [cat bed](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-crate-and-end-table) and features a warm, natural wood design to ensure it can fit neatly into most homes. The table maintains a timeless construction that won't quickly become dated. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 91% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 12% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Geometric Furniture:** Designing furniture with only straight lines and edges, forming geometric shapes, to offer both style and function, creating a modern appeal for consumers. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** Creating furniture that can serve multiple purposes, such as functioning as a side table and a cat bed, providing practicality and efficiency for consumers. - **Sustainable Furniture:** Designing furniture with warm, natural, and timeless construction materials that promote sustainability and eco-friendly practices in the furniture industry. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Incorporating geometric shapes, multi-functional features, and sustainability practices in the creation of modern furniture pieces to cater to the evolving needs of consumers. - **Pet Furniture:** Innovating cat beds that blend seamlessly with home decor and provide functionality beyond just being a pet bed to meet the demands of modern pet owners. - **Interior Design:** Integrating geometric furniture pieces into interior design plans that blend with different design concepts, promoting multi-functional and sustainable furniture in home decor trends. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Intersecting Two-Part Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shaolin-side-table.md) - [Asymmetrical Storage Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crossbred-side-table.md) - [Puzzling Geometric Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linked-side-table.md) - [Impactful Industrial Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/to-steel-side-table.md) - [Slender Geometric Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tong-side-table.md) - [Modular Flat-Pack Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flatpack-side-table.md) - [Modernized Old-Fashioned Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/union-side-table.md) - [Artistic Juxtaposed Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/koroi-side-table.md) - [Abstract Triangular Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/triangle-side-table.md)
