# Lamp-Implanted Perches Tabure is a Stool-Table-Light Hybrid for Various Ages, Activities and Rooms By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-04-02 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tabure References: [behance.net](https://www.behance.net/gallery/tabure/7134607) Along with the convenience of their offerings, hybrid items like the Tabure have a way of delighting their users. This design by Burak Kocak is for a piece of furniture that can fulfill three different purposes through a remarkably simple design. The low surface can be used as a stool for sitting or as a short side table; beneath the round panel you will see a lightbulb, giving this object the capacity to illuminate a space. The quirky item would be constructed of three pieces of 12mm honeycomb cardboard as the primary material. Two nearly identical components would slot together to become the four-legged base of the Tabure that holds the round top. A few holes in the frame of the Tabure create a loose stitched effect with the cable, leading to the literal table lamp's embedded light source. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 26% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Hybrid Furniture:** The Tabure is an example of a hybrid furniture design that combines multiple functions in a single product, offering convenience and versatility to users. - **Sustainable Materials:** The use of 12mm honeycomb cardboard as the primary material in the Tabure represents a trend towards sustainability in furniture design, providing an opportunity for eco-friendly innovations. - **Embedded Technology:** The integration of a lightbulb within the Tabure's design showcases the trend of embedded technology in everyday objects, presenting possibilities for smart furniture innovations. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** The Tabure highlights opportunities for furniture designers to create innovative, multi-functional pieces that cater to the changing needs and preferences of consumers. - **Sustainable Manufacturing:** The use of 12mm honeycomb cardboard in the Tabure opens up opportunities for manufacturers to explore sustainable production processes and materials in the furniture industry. - **Smart Home Technology:** The integration of a lightbulb in the Tabure demonstrates the potential for incorporating smart technology into furniture, offering opportunities for companies in the smart home industry to create innovative and connected furniture solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Transforming Stool-Integrated Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quartet-side-table.md) - [Interconnecting Component Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-table-lamp.md) - [Dynamic Bookend Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stair-table.md) - [Conical Multifunctional Lamp Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-table-light.md) - [Stackable Modular Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/module-table-lamp.md) - [Modular Mood Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumen-chair.md) - [Modular Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aplat.md) - [Character-Like Wireless Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puddy-table-lamp.md) - [Interactive Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tap-tap-table-lamp.md)
